I would like to apply for the Graphic Designer position posted on KSL.com Oct 12,2012. My experience and education in Graphic design and Drafting would allow me to make considerable contributions to Wine Racks of America.
My Experience in Graphic Design and Drafting is unique to this position. I have worked in many fields and have gained significant knowledge in managing projects and executing deadlines. As an Owner with Dracon Enterprises and Project Manger at Chris Layton and Associate I was responsible for setting deadlines and coordinating and completing graphic plans prior to that deadline. In these positions I was responsible for taking charge of projects and completing the task with great detail, on time and budget. While working under stressful conditions on several Architectural projects I have maintain a positive work ethic and attitude with clients, consultants and other employees. I have had to create specifications sheets and created many presentation for potential clients using graphic software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. While Project Manger at Chris Layton and Associate I was responsible for maintaining and managing the graphics library.
The knowledge, skills and experience that I have gained in school have advanced my abilities in Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and Dreamweaver as well as the entire Adobe CS5.5 Creative and Master Suites. While at school I have designed posters, packaging, websites, advertisements, banners, pop-up ads, videos, business cards, and logos each unique to the project. In my classes I have learned how to mange several different types of websites using Dreamweaver as well as other File Transfer Protocols programs. In these classes I have learn HTML, CSS, Flash, Javascript, PHP, MySQL and .asp. This combined with my experience creating styleguides, mockups, samples graphics and wireframes and branding standards at Dracon Enterprises would allow me to proficiently perform tasks. I have both PC and Mac experience using both interfaces as well as both forms of the Microsoft Professional Office Suite with particular use with Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Publisher, Access and Projects.
Working in both Graphic Design and Architectural fields I have a unique perspective at what your company produces and ways to make it more marketable to Designers. I have worked with many contractors and have special knowledge of building codes and regulation in varying climates and building conditions. Often Designers and other Design Professionals look for a particular product that will meet a certain requirements. Understanding these requirements will allow me to direct graphic and marketing to these personnel.
